I am an IT Management professional, focusing on building IT to be a business enabler. I began my career on the technical end (I was ‘the desktop guy’) and have a strong background of ensuring that the voice of the customer is what drives IT. I get energized by helping IT truly make an impact on the business it supports. I have been driven by feedback I received early in my career, ‘(Craig is) our only employee who is truly focused on and understands the needs and requirements of our business partners.’
Whether I am managing a technical team, designing and building a PMO or consulting as a project manager, I keep that feedback in mind. I brought this to bear at Johnson Controls where I led a team to successfully deploy a new portal aimed at making it easier for their partners and distributors to do business (www.hvacnavigator.com).
As a Portfolio and Program Manager with IFS, I helped design the strategic vision of shifting our team from being viewed as ‘those techie guys’ to being viewed as a business partner who enables technology. A key contribution was to build a PMO focused on prioritizing, selecting and measuring projects based on business needs while simultaneously creating standardized processes and coaching our global team in how to work in a new way.
But behind my work is the most important aspect of what drives me. My beautiful wife Danielle and amazing daughters Kaia and Keelyn have given dimension and meaning to my successes. I believe strongly in the concept of work-life balance both for myself and the teams I work with and manage.
